Since 2002, Westmax Trucking Ltd. has been a trusted provider of fluid hauling solutions across northern Alberta and British Columbia. From the beginning, our focus has remained the same – delivering safe, reliable and efficient service to our customers.

We bring advanced industry knowledge, practical skill, and a commitment to professionalism to every job. Our fleet of tank and pressure trucks is maintained to high standards and operated by trained, experienced drivers who understand the demands of oilfield operations.  

As a locally owned and operated company, we believe in doing the job right, treating people well, and building partnerships based on trust and performance. For over two decades, these principles have guided our work and continue to drive us forward today. 

Safety

We have developed a safety focused culture that puts people first and that is what guides our team every day. To maintain this standard, every driver completes a structured training program involving interviews, shadowing and mentorship. This ensures that not only does our team have the ability to perform their work safely, but professionally and in a way that reflects the values of  Westmax Trucking Ltd.

We are proud to have a low turnover rate, allowing us to maintain an experienced team with safety at the forefront of what we do. With more than 150 years of combined professional driving experience, we are able to pass on safe work habits to new drivers, strengthening our safety culture year after year.

Our HSE Coordinator ensures that all employees remain current on required certifications, including:

• Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
• Standard First Aid
• H2S Alive
• Gas Detection
• Bonding & Grounding
• WHMIS
• TDG
• Comprehensive Driver Training (Hours of Service, Trip Inspection, Cargo Securement, Fatigue Management, Weights & Dimensions)

Our in-house mechanics service our fleet at regular intervals to ensure every unit is operating at its best. They take pride in keeping our fleet in excellent condition, so our drivers know their equipment is dependable and built to perform in all tasks. Their expertise helps extend the life of our equipment, reduce unexpected issues and ensure every unit meets or exceeds safety standards.

Indigenous Relations

Westmax Trucking acknowledges traditional lands, where we are grateful to work, live, and learn on the homeland of the many diverse First Nations and Métis people whose ancestors have walked this land since time immemorial.

Being located in northern Alberta, Westmax Trucking recognizes that much of the work that we conduct is on traditional lands. We understand that the nature of our work relies heavily on the First Nations and Métis Settlements in which the work takes place. Because of this, we consult the nations and settlements to build relationships, to receive blessing and permission to work with the least amount of disruption to the traditional lands. We do not want to take advantage of these lands, but rather have both parties be able to grow from the economic opportunities, ensuring the longevity of resources and local career opportunities. As a local company rooted in our community, we owe a great deal of our success to the opportunities provided by these traditional lands and must thus operate sustainably.

As a locally owned and operated company, Westmax Trucking Ltd. finds great importance in giving back to the communities that gave us an opportunity to take root in our service region.

We look for initiatives that align with what we value: pride in what you do, hard work, and family. Many of our initiatives include sponsorship to a group, while others include a donation, a fundraiser hosted by our own employees, and hands-on coordination and delivery of items. If there is something that we can do in our communities to assist, we’re happy to do it and seek out opportunities to become involved.
